Roseto degli Abruzzi, once called Rosburgo (town of roses), is one of the most popular beach resorts on the coast of Abruzzo today, and any stay there will be both fun and eventful. The town is well known for its sea and beaches, as well as its modern hotels, clubs and sports centres.
Since 1999, Roseto degli Abruzzi has held the European Blue Flag for its clean waters; it has also been recognised as a beach resort for over a century.

Today, the town provides accommodation in the form of hotels, holiday villages, guest houses and camp sites, thus meeting all the different needs of its holiday makers.

Beach service is provided by beach clubs which are constantly updated and enlarged. They ensure a relaxing environment during the day and themed entertainment, music and dancing by night.
The romantic pier of the town is at the far end of an invaluable promenade with its several avenues lined with palm trees and cluster pines.

Blossoming oleanders, pittosporums and, of course, roses, make a stroll all the more enjoyable for those in need of some shade after the beach. The beach boasts clear waters and shallow, sandy depths which are ideal for the kids. It can also be intensely moving, however, when, on 15th of August, we celebrate the sea procession of Our Lady. The statue is hoisted up onto a fishing boat which leads the way for all the other boats. Then, at night, a breathtaking fireworks display lights up the night sky.

Roseto also means “active rest”, offering countless possibilities to combine your holiday with shopping expeditions at the local markets, walks to the pier to weigh up the catch of the day, and sports and fitness activities, making the most of each day with a different attraction. Five-a-side football, beach volley, beach basketball, swimming, sport fishing, skating, tennis, bowling, windsurfing, cycling and much much more.
